BAS Aircraft Engineering Training Centre has recently obtained the
European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for practical
training to be conducted at BAS Aviation training workshop
facilities in Bahrain and the provision of Avionics training
(B2) trade.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has appointed the United
Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA) to sponsor BAS
Aircraft Engineering Training Centre.
The Facilities were audited by UK CAA on the 6th November 2007.
The UK CAA found BAS in full compliance and a recommendation was made
to EASA for the change of BAS scope of work to include B2 (Basic
Avionic Training) and the use of BAS Aviation Training workshops
for practical training.
The European Aviation Safety Agency is an agency of the European
Union which has been given specific regulatory and executive
tasks in the field of aviation safety. The EASA is a key part of
the European Union's strategy to establish and maintain a high
uniform level of Civil Aviation Safety in
Europe. The EASA has its offices in
Cologne.
