Bahrain played host to the Gulf Airports Services Association
(GASA) for it's 68th meeting, held at the Gulf Convention Center

The Chairman of GASA, Mr. Ismail Al Banna (DNATA) thanked BAS
on behalf of all GASA members for hosting the meeting and for
their generous hospitality.
The meeting discussed various airline handling matters including
e- ticketing, new security procedures, purchase of equipment,
contractual changes and airport systems and technologies.
Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri, Secretary General (Sharjah), gave an
update to the members regarding Aviation Security and Dr Khalid
AlMazroui (Fujairah) shared his doctorate dissertation with the
members, which was all about the psychology of buying airline
tickets, especially via the outlet of the Internet.
Tom Nolan of BAS shared the BAS experiences associated with
buying and commissioning of new equipment, bought from China.
The meeting was attended by senior members of the following
organizations of the Association:-Bahrain Airport Services,
National Airport Services (NAS Kuwait), DNATA, Sharjah Airport
Authority, Abu Dhabi Airport Services, Oman Air Services,
Sharjah Airport Services, Kuwait Aviation Services Company, Ras
Al Khaimah, National handling Services (Saudi Arabia) and
Fujairah International Airport.
The next meeting will coincide with an aviation exhibition
and conference in Singapore in February 2008
