 Bas Board of directors were delighted to receive the
prestigious “Ramp Safety award – Middle East and Africa
region. The award was presented to Mr. Salman Al-Mahmeed –
Deputy Chief Executive during the 11th Ground Handling
Conference held in Italy from 16-18 November 2009, the award
was won in competition with 3 international Airports as a
result of the efforts and professional manner of the Baggage
Loading Team who’s quick actions in extinguishing a fire in
an engine averted a major incident, they assured that the
passengers and crew were disembarked safely and without
delay.
 The Board of Directors passed their thanks and appreciation
to the Company Management and staff for their efforts on
winning such an award it is a real accolade to the company
as well as the Kingdome of Bahrain.
Mr. Al Mahmeed congratulated the Management and BAS staff
for their achievement, highlighting the hard work of the
company staff which has really reflected wining this award.
