Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), part of a 12 strong Bahraini
delegation, are participating at the Singapore Air Show being
held at Changi exhibition centre (CEC) from the 1st – 5th
February 2010.
Attending the Singapore air show for the third consecutive
year ,BAS are currently holding high level meetings with
industry leaders in Asia; fostering new business
opportunities, partnerships and putting Bahrain once again
firmly on the global map of aviation.
In a statement, Deputy CEO of Bahrain Airport Services (BAS)
Salman Al Mahmeed said, "It is an honor for us to participate in
the Singapore air show for the third year in a row. This
is a result of cooperation between the two countries
politically, economically and especially within the aviation
industry."

He added: "Participation in the Singapore air show follows
the success of BAS’s involvement and support of the Bahrain
International Air Show. BAS provides critical ground handling
and services support for the aviation industry within the
region, with views to expand our reach globally."
One of the largest exhibitions in the world, attracting over 800
exhibitors, 85% of which are repeat exhibitors from previous air
shows; the Singapore Air Show offers a unique platform to
promote the aviation sector of Bahrain positively impacting
bilateral relations between the two countries.
On a VIP tour of the exhibition booths and static aircraft
displays, Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Teo Chee Hean and Minister
of Transport Mr Teo Boxxi Heng, Singapore visited the Kingdom of
Bahrain stand, expressing admiration and support for Bahrain's
efforts in promoting aviation business worldwide.
BAS’s active participation in such international forums,
exploits the current media momentum following the BIAS and
stimulates companies to develop early planning for the 2012
Bahrain International Air Show; establishing it as one of the
world's major aviation exhibitions.
The Bahrain Delegation consisting of Bahrain Airport Services,
Bahrain Airport Company, Batelco, Gulf Air, BexAir and the
Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs; attended the Singapore Air show
Leadership Summit 2010 conference on the 1st of February held in
the Raffles City Convention centre to discuss developments
within the aviation industry.
